Trials and Tribulations

Roger, a very good friend of a number of us, sadly left us a couple of years ago. He had a holiday philosophy that went something like:

On any extended holiday it is highly likely that something can and will go wrong. You best course of action is to take appropriate action and not let that incident define your holiday. So take the good with the bad, and move on.

Although our leaders are advising us that we are not a holiday - and we are not - we need to put things into perspective.

So with that in mind I will update a list the sort of things that have happened to readers and contributors to the blog and newsletter. Names will not be supplied so please do not risk offence by asking for such information.

  1. Complete failure the first time online ordering from Woolworths and Coles was attempted.
  2. A reader rushes into a supermarket, quickly stocks up on $73 worth of goods, went through the checkout, and realised that she has left her purse behind.
  3. After reducing waste by using cloth bags at the supermarket I now have a pile of unwanted plastic bags after home delivery. From a reader.
